Rick Van Eyk

Clear Creek Midstream CEO Rick Van Eyk

An oil and gas executive with more than 17 years of midstream experience, Rick is a visionary leader. He has generated billions of dollars in transactions and has led large teams working on acquisition, construction and operation of approximately 3,600 miles of crude oil pipelines.

Before forming Clear Creek, he served as vice president of business development, liquids and vice president of commercial crude at EnLink Midstream, where he established EnLink’s Permian crude pipeline business. Prior to EnLink, Rick held various roles of increasing responsibility at Occidental Petroleum. His last role was vice president of midstream strategic development, where he was one of two executives running Occidental’s Centurion Pipeline System. While at Occidental he also led the transformation of underperforming pipeline assets into a highly profitable business unit.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State University and an MBA from the University of California.

David Kley

David has worked in the energy industry for more than 27 years. His broad background includes experience in engineering, operations and business development of crude oil, natural gas and NGL systems. He has been directly involved in the construction of multiple crude oil gathering systems, natural gas gathering and processing systems, NGL fractionation facilities, central receipt points, and truck and rail terminals.

David joined Clear Creek after serving for nearly four years as vice president of engineering at EnLink Midstream. Prior to EnLink, he held various roles of increasing responsibility at Williams, where he most recently focused on the optimization and expansion of a 20-million-barrel NGL storage facility and a 107,000 BPD fractionation facility. David began his career at Williams in 1991 and held various positions at Panhandle Energy, Aquila, ENSTOR, Tarpon Gas Storage and Triton Energy Partners before returning to Williams in 2010. 

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA from Colorado State University.

Chase Sturdevant

Chase has held a variety of roles in the energy industry, each with increasing responsibility. His expertise includes all facets of business development, commercial, and acquisitions and divestitures. He played a senior role in the evaluation and execution of transformational projects at EnLink Midstream and Occidental Petroleum. His areas of expertise include project origination and evaluation, strategic planning, contract negotiation, and asset management and optimization.

Chase joined Clear Creek following more than three years at EnLink Midstream, where he helped establish EnLink’s Permian crude pipeline business. 

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from Rice University.
